Notification settings

Depending on the number of objects, references and issues, backup, restoration and migration may take time. The notifications feature gives you the possibility to get notified on the Insight Assets Backup and Migration allows you to get notified on the following events:

  • Schema backup successfully completed

  • Schema backup completed with error(s)

  • Schema restored successfully

  • Schema restore failed

  • Issue fields updated successfully

  • Issue fields update completed with errors

To enable notifications, go to the Menu/Settings/Notification Settings:

From here you can enable notifications for certain events by turning on the corresponding toggle:

Also from here you can add/remove the email address(es) where you want the notifications to be received. To add the email, click “+ Add new email“ button and fill the address:

The “Add email“ button will be activated only when the email is entered in a proper format.

After clicking “Add email“ button, the email address will be added in the list:

You can remove the address by clicking “Remove“ button and confirming the deletion in the popup.

When the notification is turned on and the email is added, you will receive the email, when the selected event happens. The email will have the following format (the format may be different depending on your email client):

Email on successful field update

The email will contain:

  • Event description

  • Name of the schema

  • Date/time when the process was started

  • Date/time when the process was completed

  • The result of the action

In the email all times will be shown in UTC.
