To enable push notifications for the Portal Customers, the user should follow the instructions below:
Push notifications are supported on Windows OS (starting from Windows 7) and MacOS for the following browsers:
Push Notifications are not supported in Incognito modes! |
Push notifications for Safari are not supported |
Navigate to the user profile, through the user avatar sub-menu:
In the user profile, click the “Check push notifications subscription“ button to enable the notifications:
To enable push notifications for the Customer Portal, please click the button “Check push notifications subscription“ and follow the instructions:
To enable push notifications for the Jira user, please click the “Check push notifications subscription“ and click the Allow button:
If the notifications are not enabled in your customer, please enable them in your browser (please see the instructions for all the compatible browsers below):
Once the notifications are enabled in the power, you will see the corresponding message and the following screen:

After the notifications are enabled, the user will receive the notifications on all the Events.
The notifications are bound to the notifications scheme in the Jira Instance. |
The notifications will be received via the standard notifications feature, depending on the Operating System. The sample screenshots below display the notification for Windows 10 / Microsoft Edge and MacOS / Google Chrome:
After clicking “View”, the user will be navigated to the specific Issue/Request in the Jira Instance.
Notification will not be received by the actor users, i.e. if the user added a comment, the corresponding notification will not be sent to that user. |
If, after enabling, the user cannot receive the notifications, please refer to the Local System Settings to configure notification in the local Operating System. |
If enabled, the browser notifications will also be sent to Android mobile devices. The compatible browser is Google Chrome. Please see the following instructions on how to enable notifications in Google Chrome on Android: Use notifications to get alerts - Android - Google Chrome Help. |
