Unlimited Async External Data for Jira also works in Jira Software projects. After installation and configuration (see Installation Guide and Field Configuration for more details), the search field will be shown in Issue details, in a right-hand bar under External data search field:
After clicking the field, a search field will be opened the same way it opens in Customer Portal (see Search Field), but in the right-hand sidebar of the issue view:
According to the configuration, if Target Field or Copy to Summary are not selected, the search results will be displayed below the search field:
If Target Field or Copy to Summary are selected, the search results will update the corresponding field, and the search field will be refreshed:
In the issue view from a Backlog or Sprint, the target fields will be updated if they are configured (see https://twinit.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/JDA/pages/531104323/Search+Field#Target-Fieldand Search Field | Copy to Summary ), however so see the change, browser refresh is needed!
