The app is compatible with Jira, Jira Service Management, Jira Work Management and Jira Products Discovery. For JSM, the app works for both, agents and customers.

After installation, administration for Browser Notifications for Portal Customers is available in the "Apps" administration menu:

After clicking Push notifications, the user will be navigated to the configuration page. The configuration page shows the button for enabling push notifications for the Jira instance:

Depending on the browser version, manually allowing notifications might be needed. Please see the following instructions how to allow notifications for various browsers:

After clicking “Allow for the site”, the user will see a notification about the successful activation of the push notifications and can close the browser tab:

If, after enabling user cannot receive the notifications, please refer to the Local System Settings to configure notification in the local Operating System.

After successful submission, the app page will show “Unsubscribe” and “Test notification“ buttons:

Push notifications are supported on Windows OS (starting from Windows 7) and MacOS for the following browsers:

  • Google Chrome

  • Microsoft Edge (Chromium)

  • Mozilla Firefox

Push Notifications are not supported in Incognito modes!
