Jira Issue

It is possible to add Jira Issue fields and data sources using Unlimited Async External Data for Jira. To add data source, go to the tab “Data Sources”, click the “Add Data Source” button, and choose Source type “Jira“:

Fill the required field, where you want to search and save the Data Source:

Name

Enter the name of the data source, it will be used later in the https://twinit.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/JDA/pages/531235195.

Select Field

Search and select the Jira issue field, which will be used as a source type (based on the search results, the list of the issues will be displayed on the portal). Jira field names and field IDs will be displayed in the dropdown menu.

It is possible to select only fields from the Jira instance (including custom fields) with the Text (string) type:

  • Summary

  • Description

  • Environment

  • Short Text custom fields

  • Paragraph custom fields

  • URL

  • Some locked fields (e.g. Epic name, Epic color, Issue color, Work category, etc.)

JQL

Unlimited Async External Data for Jira supports JQL (Jira Query Language) to additionally filter the data from the Jira issues. Refer to the following JQL documentation for instructions about constructing JQL Queries in Jira:

Save Data Source

After filling in the required information, click Save.

After saving, the Jira data source will be added to the list. You can add as many data sources, as needed. You can delete the source by clicking the “Bin” icon, or edit the data source by clicking the “Pencil” icon.
