By installing the User Activity Audit Log for Confluence on the cloud instance, It is possible to enhance the User Activity Audit Log to log the actions from Confluence.

Installation Guide

User Activity Audit Log for Confluence can be installed from the Atlassian Marketplace.

  1. Navigate to the “Find new Apps” page.

  2. Search for User Activity Audit Log for Confluence and click on the “Try it Free” button.

  3. To Start the configuration go to the “Apps” dropdown on the top ribbon and select User Activity Audit Log for Confluence.

  4. To uninstall the User Activity Audit Log for Confluence go to the “Manage Apps” page find the User Activity Audit Log for Confluence expand it and click on the “Uninstall” button.

To use this pluginextension app, User Activity Audit Log plugin should be initially installed in Jira on the same Cloud instance.

After installation, without any further configuration, if a user is added as a watcher in a certain Confluence page or tagged in a comment, a notification will be sent to the user on:

  1. Page update

  2. Added page footer comment

  3. Edited page footer comment

  4. User mentioned in the footer comment

  5. User mentioned in the page content

  6. User mentioned in the inline comment

The notification will be received in the Customer Portal notifications bar (please refer to User Guide for more details):

For the messages received from the updates of the Confluence page, the following information is visible to the customer:

Name of the user who made an update

Time and date of the update

the Confluence actions will appear in the actions list above the Aggregated and Detail Views:

  • Space created

  • Space deleted

  • Space archived

  • Space unarchived

  • Space marked as deleted

  • Deleted space restored

  • Space import

  • Space export

  • Space key updated

  • Space logo uploaded

  • Space permission added

  • Global settings changed

  • Global permission added

  • Global permission removed

  • Content restriction added

  • Content restriction removed

You can view these actions either in the Aggregate view or the Detail view.
